Today I want to share some tips on how to get a better night sleep.
I am a very light sleeper and it takes me ages to fall asleep. My ears are very sensitive to noise and I used to wake up in the middle of the night to go toilet and then fall asleep after one or two hours, if I was lucky enough to fall asleep!
So not fun, not fun at all… And we all know how important is our beauty sleep!
I have now found a combinations of things that I do every night and make me sleep like a baby, so I hope this post will help people that have the same problem I used to have.
Without further ado, here are my tips.
Use a pillow mist
I use the ‘Rituals of Happy Buddha hair and body mist’ from Rituals. This spray is amazing, you can use it on your body, hair and pillow too, how amazing is that? By any means you can use any other pillow spray of your choice or even a room diffuser with some essential oils, I just find that having a nice, relaxing smell on my pillow or in my room, really helps me breathe and therefore it helps me to relax and fall asleep.
Wear an eye mask
I use my pink ‘ALASKA BEAR’ eye mask that I bought on Amazon Uk. It is very comfortable, made of silk, it doesn’t come off during the night and it blocks out all the light and helps my eyes relax.
I use the ‘Pluggerz Sleep’ ones I bought in Boots. They are made of silicone so very easy to clean and they’re the first ear plugs that stay where I put them and don’t come off while I sleep and trust me, I have tried many!
If you’re like me and earplugs are not enough, try downloading the Relax Melodies app. This app is life changing, seriously! You will have to attach some headphones to your phone, I use the JVC ‘HA-S160-EF’ because they cover my whole ear but at the same time they’re not thick and uncomfortable to lay on. The app works even when you’re offline so it’s great to use on flights and abroad. It has got a lot of different white noise you can choose from and you can make your own melody, mixing the sounds you prefer and choosing the volume of each one of them. It has been a massive help for me and I could not recommend it enough!
